Wax melts are scented pieces of wax that you melt in a warmer to fragrance your home. They come in different shapes in a wide range of fragrances and waxes. Henry & Co Fragrance's are a soy blend wax fragranced with top quality body safe fragrance oils. They are a great alternative to candles as you can burn them for as long or as little time as you like while still getting the same great scent throw you would from a candle.

Electric vs Tealight warmer

There are positives for both candle melt warmers and electric melt warmers, it's up to personal preference and choosing what style works best for you and the room you are using it in.

Electric Melt Warmers will give you a consistent burning temperature and melt your wax quicker meaning you get a fragrance quicker. Some electric burners have built in timers so they automatically turn off. A lot of electric melt warmers also have built in lights so you can use it as a lamp as well as getting a great fragrance. Tealight melt warmers give a beautiful ambiance to a room and you still get the lovely warmth and flicker that you get from burning a candle. To get the optimum result from your melt and tealight melt warmer use a 4 hour unscented tealight.

Using a wax melt & wax melt burner

Changing & cleaning

Once you have burnt your wax melt for a number of hours you may find yourself thinking "Why can't I smell this anymore?" If you are asking yourself this question it will be time to clean and change.

After your wax melt has burnt away all it's fragrance you will still find wax in the top of your melt warmer - this is normal!

To clean your melt warmer - make sure your burner is cool to the touch.

The easiest way we recommend to clean your burner is blowing your tealight candle out or turning your electric burner off and letting the wax set hard in the top of your burner - this might take a few hours.

When you come back to it, light your tealight or turn your melt warmer on for 30 seconds to 1 minute. This melts and loosens the bottom layer of wax so you can slide the solid piece of wax out.

Discard of the wax and give your burner dish a wipe out with a damp cloth or kitchen roll to remove any residue wax remaining.
